Electric Potential is a series of concerts featuring electroacoustic music and electronica, with a specific focus on new work created by students and faculty at the University of Windsor. The series began in 2006 with a collaborative event featuring new media works by faculty of the University of Michigan's Performing Arts Technology program. The 2008-09 season featured two concerts of student work presented in Studio A.

Music technology courses at the University of Windsor combine the study of acoustics, audio recording and editing, MIDI, and sound processing with the application of a variety of music technologies to creative projects. The introductory Music Technology course (32-232) covers basic concepts, while students in the Advanced Music Technology course (32-233) work within a single software environment such as CSound, MaxMSP or Ableton Live to create larger-scale electroacoustic and electronic works.
